Backdrops

Layer 1's patterns are tuned for a web page at 16px; on a 1280 × 720 canvas they vanish. These are the same ideas re-cut at broadcast scale — bigger grid, heavier lines, more contrast, because a thumbnail is competing in a wall of other people's thumbnails. One backdrop plus at most one frame. Never two frames.
